Perhaps you might be aware but things are not looking particularly good for you in the forthcoming election. Despite coming in on the back of the most disasterous budget wrecking Labor goverment since Joan Kirner you (and Red Ted before you) have managed to destroy any good will you had in the space of a single term. You and your party seem to be a touch in the dark as to why this might be so so I thought it might be helpful for you to understand why.
The problems that the Liberal Party faces here in Victoria (as well as interstate and federally) is entirely of your own making. You have abandoned your grassroot, conservative supporters in order to court the votes and approval of people of the green/left. Let me give you a piece of advice, those people will never vote Liberal, no matter how many birth homes of disasterous Labor PM’s you place on the Heritage List.
You need to understand that the people that you are trying to appease have an unending supply of hatred for conservative people and their principles* and will not be diverted from their path of advancing the cause of progressivism until we all live in a Socialist Workers Utopia.
Your natural supporters however do no not have an unending ability to tolerate the obsequiousness of the Liberal Party. It may surprise you to find that many of them may in fact refuse to support you at the ballot box because they are tired of seeing politicians who notionally are meant to be in government to stem and reverse the excesses of the left but who instead insist on validating leftist causes, the latest example being your ridiculous pandering to Labor mythology by denying the legitimate rights of a property owner to utilise his property in the way that he sees fit because some Labor Party wrecking ball happened to be born in it a few years ago. Quite frankly, Liberal voters are sick and tired of this nonsense, and they will be demonstrating their dissatisfaction with you and your goverment at polling booths acroos Victoria come November.
